Dear little brother

(1/1)

Melliebustacey:
Dear little bro,
When you were first plopped into my arms, I fell in love with you. I was thrilled to be your big sister. My fondest memories are of you as an infant, napping in my arms. I vowed to protect you from all the evils of the world and to grow up to be your best friend. I see now that I succeeded  in the former and failed miserably the latter.
I'm so sorry for that.

You call me delusional now because you have a "happy" life with mom and dad. Let me out it in perspective for you if I may:
My dream in life was broadway. You know this better than anyone.
I got into Juilliard. I was told that if "it was something to be proud of they would have helped."
I never got my dream.
You now have a ten thousand dollar drum set up and studio. Your band tours and performs wih mom and dadfront and center.
You are living my dream.
You're welcome.

I took beatings for you.
I took insults for you.
I tried to make your life as easy as I could.

I wish I never had, and I hope your gas lighting stops before you damage your future.
I will forgive you.
Others will not.

As much as it kills me to say it, I don't want you in my life until you see the bigger picture. You're only sixteen. There is time for us to be friends in the future.
In order to get there however, you have a long way to go. I paid my dues in blood and tears.

Love you forever kid

Tata
