I just saw a TED talk with Guy Winch that was really fascinating (and then ordered his book).  The basic premise is that we are taught as children to use physical hygiene (eg. brushing teeth, putting a bandaid on a cut, drinking liquids when sick), but we don't know the first thing about basic emotional hygiene.  He divides the book into chapters on rejection, loneliness, rumination and includes direct steps for healing the emotional wounds associated with each.  This may sound silly at first, but it is actually quite helpful.

The book appealed to me, because I find myself coping with the isolation and loneliness that is the fallout of being married to someone with BPNPD.  Having clear, direct steps to follow to try to counter some of that is helpful.

Link to the book above in the poll.

Simple, straight forward, easy to understand and helpful. Thanks for the recommendation.
