I think I have fleas
Oneness:
Corky, the type of fleas Kitty is talking about is a term used when your behavior changes for the worse because of long term exposure to a PD person. But I sympathesize with you in the scabies. I had them long ago, got them from my bf who had got them from the woman he was with before me. They are awful!
corky:
Ooops! I guess I need to learn the lingo. Thanks for that. I just assumed since she mentioned the dogs...
TiredBut...:
That's OK, corky, I did the same thing. I was trying to figure out why she was complaining on this forum about getting fleas from her neighbors dog... Is there a pet problems forum somewhere? 8-)
kitty:
Corky! Dear heart! You just gave me my morning chuckle about the fleas!
You sweet thing thank you for the info...I am so sorry that you got scabies from your SO's cheating. That just so sucks!

TOBATTTPD:
Hi Kitty,
First and foremost, you are under a great deal of stress, you can vent, normal people need outlets to vent, you are just letting some steam off from what you just experienced/witnessed as your future home.
Now, who has the problem here? It sounds like the apartment complex has a problem, with the current tenants of that unit.
They are in breach of contract, please review your lease, write a letter to the manager and also the main office. I would write what you had seen regarding empty beer cans, garbage, I am sure that is in breach of contract, if you had taken a photo via your phone, send that as well.
I would then write in no uncertain terms that you will not be moving into the unit assigned and request to be addressed another unit. That a violation of breed restrictions has not been addressed at this "#" unit, and a predatory breed "pitbull" is currently residing there. This is in direct violation of the lease and of the community itself.
If they cannot reassign another unit of exact quality of the first, these issues with unit "#' must be immediately addressed or you will seek legal counsel regarding terms in the lease signed.
You do not have fleas, the apartment manager is NOT doing his/her job and needs to address the unit whom is not abiding by the terms of the lease and community.
The apartment manager and lessee's of that unit have a problem and you don't have to live in fear, given the community has breed restrictions.
The manager is probably lazy and needs to get on his/her community before it goes south due to negligence.
You should not feel defensive or guilty about your problem with the current breed residing there, it is not suppose to be there, and perhaps depending on City, maybe against City Ordinances.
It is your right to not live in fear and they are breakigng the terms of the community/lease, not you.
I have been where you have been, god bless you, you can do this. You are not alone.
